Plan for your best year yet! Get some tips for how to stick to your goals and download a FREE 2019 planner to keep track of everything.
I always feel refreshed after the holidays and ready to tackle my goals. What is it about the thought of a new year that makes us feel like we have a fresh start?? If we want to have a great year, we need to start planning for one. Greatness doesn’t happen by itself. We need to put in the effort to make it happen and it all begins with having a solid plan. Here are some of my best tips for kicking off this year right…
Write Down Your Goals
First things first. In your planner, write down what your goals are for the year. Remember that you need to have realistic, achievable goals. For example, instead of just having a goal to lose weight, you might have a goal to lose twenty pounds. You also might want to break your goals down into categories. For example, you might have a health goal, a business goal, a finance goal, and a personal goal. To help you with this, I have a free 2018 Planner for you to download. Get it below!
Break Large Goals Into Smaller Ones
Your yearly goals can seem overwhelming. However, breaking them down into smaller goals makes it much easier to do. You can even use your planner to mark the day you should have achieved your smaller goals. For example, if you want to put $5000 into an IRA, you could have a smaller goal to put back $100 each week.
Start Planning Your Meals
Something that’s going to make your life easier is meal planning. Meal planning takes so much stress out of your day. Instead of wondering what you’re going to make for dinner each night, sit down one day a week and plan your meals. You can then prep some of your items ahead of time to make cooking those meals even easier. Find some easy recipes HERE.
Create a Way to Track Your Progress
Last, but not least, find a way to track your progress for whatever you want to accomplish this year. For example, if you want to read 100 books, use Goodreads or a journal to track your progress. There are a number of websites and apps that will help you track weight loss. You can also easily track a number of things by creating a spreadsheet.
You don’t have to set goals with no way of reaching them or spend your year stressed out. There are things you can do to make the New Year a great one. Take the time to plan ahead so that you can have the best year yet.

Do you have a 2018 planner out?
But while it may be obvious that you need to be very clear about your goals and objectives, you might not know how to put them into words. And even if you do, someone might try to take advantage of your lack of clarity. While there are many books (and startups) out there offering advice on how to write a plan, I wanted to offer some guidance on how to actually write it — and, more importantly, how to read it so that you can make sure it’s all kosher in your eyes.
To do this effectively, we have to get away from a lot of common advice out there that doesn’t work for us (which is why I also wrote an entire series on writing a plan). Here are three common mistakes:
Mistake #1: The Confidence Fallacy
Surely the most common advice for writing a plan — and in fact the most important one — is: “Take some time off from doing anything else and concentrate on writing a plan.” And yet the writer of this piece has just completed his first year as an entrepreneur after spending most of his life working in sales at large corporations. He knows what he wants; he knows what he needs; he knows what his company needs; he knows exactly how to write a plan around all those things and more. And yet he still finds himself preparing for his worst year yet by scrawling down thoughts on paper instead of doing something with those thoughts that could actually help him achieve his goals faster than they Dental would otherwise take him (which is why we call them ideas). Moreover, this approach isn’t even sustainable; once you start dabbling with your own planning efforts, your focus will quickly shift back towards work because as soon as you start thinking about planning again (as opposed to work), your brain starts going through every topic under the sun so that it can remember everything when it comes time for the next planning session. Instead of focusing on only one thing at a time (an approach known as “muddling through”), people who are trying too hard end up obsessing over everything under the sun which makes them go crazy over unimportant details like marketing plans or business strategy numbers or whatever else happens up their ass at any given moment
I came to the opinion that practically all deviations from our normal state of health are brought on by our emotional state, so it is imperative to exert the most effort possible to support and treat the psychological state. I advise paying attention to the relationship counselor https://ca.calmerry.com/relationship-counseling/ on the internet. This can assist in resolving emotional issues and acquiring useful knowledge on how to uphold healthy relationships with both yourself and other people. The general health will benefit as a result of this.
